Fish monger drowns, body found under water two days later

A 32 year old Mvurwi fish monger drowned whilst fishing in a reservoir and was under water for 2 days Bulawayo24.com has heard.
Allegations are that Jadwell Ranjisi from Kamusha farm Mvurwi drowned in reservoir on 16 May in the morning and his body was retrieved today by the police.
Eye witnesses allege the fish monger drowned in a bid to get his net that had a big catch.
"The deceased was a seasoned fisherman and on the date in question he had a big catch and he drowned whilst trying to get his net closer to him," said the source.
It is a common belief among Zimbabweans that if a person drowns and goes missing for days mermaids would have taken that person.
Cases of drowning are slowly increasing in Mvurwi.
