Alpha Media Holdings Boss Trevor Ncube has defended Econet Wireless Founder Strive Masiyiwa amidst barrage condemnation that has been direction to the latter by Twitter users over his anti sanctions statements.

"I have read Strive Masiyiwa's comments. I agree with him 100% . It is time we realize that sanctions are hurting all of us. They must be removed yesterday. We must also urgently redress our sins of omission and commission," said Ncube.

Social Media users have accused Trevor Ncube of endearing himself to Mnangagwa in the hope that he will be given a radio licence for his newly launched project Heart and Soul Radio.

Recently Ncube in the company of fellow businessman Shingi Munyeza  visited Mnangagwa at his office to pay their Happy birthday wishes.

I have invested in Zimbabwe (in the last 10 years), $1.5 billion US dollars. I'm as committed to investing in Zimbabwe as I have always been come rain or shine.

Anyone who understands economics knows its going to be tough going but I think that Zimbabwe needs to be given a chance. We have to stop the politicking and focus on rebuilding this country… And I m right up there. I think the sanctions, should be removed.

There's no justification for them anymore and I've always been on record to say the sanctions are not justified. Now we are almost 20 years into the sanctions. You can t have one country operating with its hands tied behind its back.
