Senator Aguy Georgias and the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Justice have advised government to file an urgent application appeal against the ruling made by South African High Court Judge, Hans Fabricius to arrest and prosecute Zimbabwean officials for alleged human rights abuses.

Senator Georgias has described the ruling by Judge Fabricius to investigate Zimbabweans as an act inspired by instigation of Western forces to weaken and manipulate the legal system in developing countries.

"I believe the South African ruling to investigate Zimbabweans is wrong, and the government should not sit back and look. There is need for authorities to fight the ruling and through the normal channel it is favourable for the country to win the case," said Senator Georgias.

Georgias rubbished the International Criminal Court (ICC), describing it as a Western sponsored instrument which should be condemned by African leaders as its existence is merely to victimise leaders from developing countries to tow the line of big powers.

The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Justice says the South African judgement can best be described as judicial activisms which should be challenged through the use of the Supreme Sourt of Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, Senator Georgias has filed an urgent application against the European Union for putting him on the illegal sanctions list which he said had prejudiced his business.

The hearing of the case is expected to take place in the European courts this week.
