Opposition leader appears for bail hearing

President of Ideal Zimbabwe Tinashe Jonas will be appearing in court on Wednesday to apply for a bail hearing after his bail application was turned down by the magistrate.
"The High Court will on Wednesday hear a bail appeal filed by Tinashe Jonas, the leader of Ideal Zimbabwe party, who is in prison after he was denied bail by a Harare Magistrate after he was arrested for undermining authority of or insulting President Mnangagwa." Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights said in a statement.
He is accused of saying President Mnangagwa has a love child with Minister of Information Monica Mutsvangwa.
Jonas who was supposed to take a walk of sacrifice to Munhumutapa building to arrest President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Vice Presidents Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi last month was arrested before he could fulfil his endeavor.
He was reportedly picked up by plain clothes policeman near Jameson Hotel in Harare.
