Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has said cabinet has set a task force to probe allegation of partisan distribution of food.
Tsvangirai, who is on a tour of Matabeleland, said this in Tsholotso.
"The cabinet has already set up a taskforce to investigate and deal with the issue of food politicization," he said.
The premier said food sourced by government "is for every Zimbabwean and we want to make sure that deserving people in rural areas benefit regardless of the parties which they support."
But he did not give a timeline of the probe and the composition of the taskforce.
Zanu-PF has long been accused of distributing food and farming implements to its supporters only.
