Prophet Magaya's Yadah relegated

The 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season came to a dramatic and painful end for Yadah, GreenFuel, and Bikita Minerals, who were all relegated on the final day of the campaign. The trio joined already-demoted Kwekwe United in bidding farewell to top-flight football.

Yadah's survival hopes were dashed after a narrow 0-1 defeat to former champions Simba Bhora, a result that sealed their fate. GreenFuel, needing nothing short of victory, were held to a 1-1 draw at home by fellow relegation contenders Triangle United, leaving them short of the points required to escape the drop. Bikita Minerals also could not produce a decisive performance, falling 0-1 away to Manica Diamonds in Mutare.

All three sides entered the final weekend needing wins to keep their Premiership status intact, but none managed to deliver when the stakes were highest.

Despite expectations of a tense relegation scramble involving some of the league's biggest names, the final day proved less dramatic at the top end of the danger zone. Dynamos, Highlanders, and Chicken Inn, all of whom flirted with the drop during a turbulent season, secured their safety with hard-fought draws that ensured they remained above the red zone.

The curtain now falls on a gripping PSL season marked by late twists, inconsistent performances, and intense battles for survival—while the relegated teams will now regroup in the lower division with hopes of a swift return to the top flight.
