Woman dies inside Bulawayo betting shop

A 41-year-old woman died after collapsing inside a betting house in Bulawayo's Central Business District on Wednesday morning.
Bulawayo police identified the deceased as Josephine Makiwa of Mpopoma.
According to Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, Makiwa had entered the betting shop and sat down before she suddenly began vomiting and collapsed.
"She became unconscious, and the punters who were inside the shop called an ambulance, which pronounced her dead upon arrival," said Inspector Msebele.
Police said investigations into the circumstances surrounding the sudden death are underway.
