Gift Amuli is facing allegations of fraud after reportedly selling a non-existent residential stand to a Harare woman in exchange for her vehicle.

Memory Kubungaidze (39) from Budiriro told H-Metro that she traded her VW Golf Caravelle Wagon for what she believed was a residential stand in Seke. She became suspicious after Amuli allegedly blocked her calls, and his wife claimed she was unaware of the transaction.

Upon checking with Seke Rural District Council officials, Kubungaidze discovered that the stand did not exist. "Amuli lied to me that he had a residential stand for sale in Seke and we agreed to exchange the stand with my vehicle," she said.

The matter has been reported to Machipisa Police Station, and police are investigating the US$4,000 fraud. Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed that Amuli allegedly misrepresented ownership of the Seke farm stand when approaching Kubungaidze in July 2025.

Amuli recently spent a weekend in police custody following a separate cyberbullying accusation by fellow musician First Farai, further complicating his legal troubles.
