ZIFA Division 2 side Barca Kadoma has strengthened its squad with the signing of experienced utility player Hardlife Zvirekwi ahead of the new season.
Zvirekwi, a former defender and midfielder for Caps United and later Simba Bhora, is expected to bring leadership, versatility, and top-flight experience to the Kadoma-based side.
Club president Matthew Maveto said the signing forms part of a broader strategy to balance youth and experience within the squad.
"Hardlife brings a lot of experience… we are focused on blending new talent with experience," Maveto said, adding that Zvirekwi will also play a mentoring role for younger players.
Barca Kadoma has confirmed it will host home matches at Rimuka Stadium, a move aimed at strengthening local support and improving matchday attendance.
Zvirekwi expressed optimism about his new chapter, saying he is eager to help the club achieve its objectives for the 2026 season.
"I'm looking forward to contributing to Barca Kadoma's success," he said.
The club has also undergone structural changes ahead of the campaign, appointing former player David Sengu as head coach, with Rodwell Chinyengetere named as his assistant.
Last season, Barca Kadoma narrowly missed out on promotion to Division 1 after losing a playoff on penalties to Chingwere FC, and will now be aiming to go one better in the upcoming campaign.
