The National Police Service has announced the dismantling of a suspected narcotics distribution network in the Laini area of Kibra, Nairobi, following a targeted intelligence‑led operation.

According to police, undercover officers from Kibra Police Station conducted a sting operation after receiving actionable intelligence on illegal drug activities in the area. The operation resulted in the arrest of several key suspects believed to be linked to the illicit trade.

Police said a substantial consignment of assorted narcotics and drug‑related items was recovered during the raid. The seized items included syringes and needles, assorted liquid drugs and unidentified tablets, "Moody" tablets, multiple rolls of cannabis sativa, alcohol swabs, cotton wool and packets of candles.

"All arrested suspects were escorted to the station and placed in custody pending further police processing and arraignment in court," police said.

The confiscated narcotics and related materials have since been secured in the station's exhibits room as investigations continue.

The National Police Service said it will intensify intelligence‑driven crackdowns targeting illegal drug networks across the country and urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
