Dynamos claimed a 2-1 victory over Hardrock FC after the final 14 minutes of their abandoned Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixture were played behind closed doors at Baobab Stadium on Thursday.
The match resumed from the 76th minute with the score tied at 1-1 after the original encounter, played at Chahwanda Stadium in May, was abandoned following crowd trouble and a pitch invasion.
Moses Demera netted the decisive goal to hand Dynamos all three points and bring an end to weeks of uncertainty surrounding the controversial fixture.
The Premier Soccer League had directed that the remaining minutes be completed behind closed doors, a decision that was later upheld by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Appeals Committee after Hardrock FC unsuccessfully challenged the ruling.
The victory lifted Dynamos to third place on the league table with 37 points, narrowing the gap to leaders Scottland to nine points.
Hardrock FC, meanwhile, remained second on 39 points but missed a valuable opportunity to reduce the deficit at the top of the standings, dealing a setback to their championship ambitions.
