Loughty Dube appointed VMCZ acting executive director

The Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) Board has appointed Mr. Loughty Dube as the Acting Executive Director of the VMCZ with effect from 01 December, 2013.
Dube's appointment comes after the resignation of VMCZ Executive Director, Takura Zhangazha, who leaves the organisation on 30 November, 2013 to pursue other interests after having been with the VMCZ for three years.
Prior to this appointment Dube has been VMCZ Programmes Officer, Advocacy and Complaints. Dube has over 15 years media and training experience. He has held several leadership positions in media organisations.
Announcing the appointment, VMCZ Board Chairperson, Alex Muchadehama, wished Dube well in his new responsibilities.
"On behalf of the VMCZ Board I wish Mr. Dube well in his new responsibilities and I call on all VMCZ members and stakeholders to support him in his newfound responsibilities," said Muchadehama.
