Gammatox MP deserts his constituency

Zvishavane-Runde Member of Parliament, Freddie Moyo has reportedly abandoned his constituency as Zanu-PF factional fights reaches crescendo level.
In a recent visit by the Mirror to areas under his jurisdiction, thousands of people lamented that their representative is nowhere to be found.
"He is elusive. We regret why we voted him in the first place. He is just like his predecessors," said Munyaradzi Shoko, a villager from Siboza communal lands in Zvishavane.
Another resident from Zvishavane-Runde who spoke on condition of anonymity said there was nothing unusual on Moyo's conspicuous absence because he is just maintaining the trend set up for Zvishavane by ZANU-PF since 1980.
"Zanu-PF is responsible for the economic marginalisation of Zvishavane. Our area is endowed with mineral resources; we have Mimosa Mines and Murowa Diamond Mines. Instead of giving us Mps who are people-oriented, Mugabe has successively imposed his stooges on us," said the source.
However, a Zanu-PF insider confided with the Mirror that Moyo is not necessarily abandoning his constituency, but he is actually battling for his political life after he was fingered early this year at Mnangangwa's elevation bash which was done in Siboza.
"He was heckled by youths aligned to Ngwena (VP Mnangangwa) in January if you remember. Mnangangwa's close ally, Larry Mavhima is already de-campaigning him, so he is definitely in a trick situation," said the source.
This paper is also reliably informed that sometime in April this year, Moyo's predecessor Larry Mavhima launched a whirlwind campaign throughout Zvishavane-Runde denigrating Moyo for his close links to the ousted Mujuru cabal.
Efforts to get a comment from honourable Moyo were fruitless because his mobile number was not reachable, but sources close to him said the former Miner is not very much bothered by what is happening.
"He is a man of means. Remember he has been a Managing Director for several reputable mining companies such as Shabanie-Mashaba and Hwange colliery. He is not a career politician like his enemies," said a source from his rural areas, Mazvihwa communal lands.
