Ntabazinduna Chief Nhlanhla Yemangwe has urged people in Matabeleland not to vote for anyone who does not subscribe to the Mthwakazi restoration.

People gathered at Ntabazinduna to commemorate the victims of the colonial era, where more than six thousand of King Lobhengula's warriors perished after a fierce battle at Gadade in Ntabayezinduna.

Addressing thousands of people who attended the commemorations, Chief Khayisa said that he was happy to announce that the Khumalos and the chiefs have agreed on the chosen Heir apparent to the throne. And very soon they will officially be announcing the way forward.

Chief Khayisa said that he is not a politician and does not speak politics, but it is his wish to see Mthwakazi people unite and work in unison, he also emphasized that the people of Matabeleland should desist from voting anyone who does not subscribe to Mthwakazi and to the yet to be coronated King.

He said kuyibuthutha ukuthi abantu bengavoteli inhlangano zethu zika Mthwakazi.

Chief Khayisa emphasized on the need for Mthwakazi Restoration, insisting that self-determination is the only way forward for our development as a people. The coronation will be announced very soon probably at BF stadium, where thousands are expected to attend the coronation.

The BSAC (British South African Company) had six hundred and fifty two strong force accompanied by the equal number of men from Mashonaland. They used the maxim machine guns against an army that was only armed with spears but their bravery resulted in the killing of some colonialists who are buried there at Gadade.

After the battle, King Lobhengula disappeared and our Mthwakazi state was conquered and being ruled by conquest to date.

The day started with prayer followed by a moment of silence. Mthwakazi Republic Party was the only party being represented by its President and his executive as well as party members. The president of MRP Cde Mqondisi Moyo thanked the Chief and UMhlahlo for organizing yet another successful event in honour of our fallen heroes.

Moyo said that he was not amused by ZANU PF's disregard of Matabeleland by organizing their interface rally on the day of their commemorations, adding that it is betrayal of our fallen warriors and our people for anyone from Mthwakazi to be seen to be supporting parties like ZANU PF and the likes because to us they are not different from the Smith regime.

Moyo charged anyone who still denies that Zimbabwe and Mthwakazi are two separate states,  need to be mentally examined.

"Robert Mugabe cannot pass through Gadade to have his interface rally in Bulawayo, if the battle of Gadade matters to him. Lest we forget it is in Gadade where the whites were to test the first black resistance whereas in Mashonaland the Shonas surrendered without any resistance" said Moyo

"We know that Robert Mugabe have for the past 37 years managed to distort history to the extent of exaggerating and misrepresenting facts and want to match King Lobengula with Mbuya Nehanda and Kaguvi yet we know these two were simply spirit mediums who never had any heroic exploits against whites."

He said it is their reflection to the world that Robert Mugabe like his predecessors who accompanied whites in the 1893 Gadade battle betrayed the towering Joshua Nkomo, it is true that Mugabe became what he is today through the mentor ship of Joshua Nkomo.

"It is Joshua Nkomo who went around in prisons consulting the likes of Rugare Gumpo and other Shona ZANU people as to whether were they all endorsing the candidature of Robert Mugabe after they had Dumped Ndabaningi Sithole. This was through the request of Julius Nyerere and other African leaders whose states were already independent who were behind assisting Zimbabwe to get liberated," he said.

"Robert Mugabe's name had been raised by Solomon Rex Mujuru as the Zanla commander at a meeting that was Chaired by Julius Nyerere the person who also hated Joshua Nkomo with passion. Rex Nhongo had picked a piece of paper and wrote the name of Robert Mugabe and in the process forwarded the piece to Joshua Nkomo who never thought Zanla will choose Mugabe and this stalled the meeting because it could not continue without ZANU PF not having a leader and Nkomo was requested by the African leaders to assist ZANU to put their house in order in terms of fixing the leadership challenge."

He said surprisingly, after all these roles by Nkomo in making Mugabe what he is today, Mugabe went on to persecute Nkomo and Zapu.

"I quote he said " the only way to destroy a cobra is by striking its head " in reference to destroying Nkomo and Zapu. It is Nkomo who facilitated for a charted plane for Robert Mugabe and his wife Sally to flee from the persecutions they were facing and it is Nkomo who gave in his residence flat in New Delhi to Mugabe and Sally so that they could have a hide out as they were hunted down," he said.

Nkomo said I quote, "if they are people who need safe accommodation its Mugabe and his wife, but after all these sacrifices by the late Dr Nkomo, Mugabe still wanted him dead and he even buttressed this by killing over 20 000 of our people through genocide of 1982- 1987.

At one time Ian Smith had willfully offered to give Joshua Nkomo the power but Nkomo refused and insisted "I can't accept this without Robert Mugabe and his ZANU PF hence he said we agree to work as a patriotic front."

Little had the old man known (ukuthi okuMvundla kwezikwakweni sokuqede ngaye) and indeed Smith alluded to the assertions by Nkomo.

"We later on saw Robert Mugabe running away from Nkomo in Britain from a hotel they were booked in and it was after the British had organised a chartered plane for Robert to fly out to Tanzania when Nkomo had thought the following morning they were going to be cementing talks on the patriotic front and its framework. A junior ZANU PF  official then disclosed to Nkomo whilst he was knocking on Robert Mugabe's hotel room and said Mugabe flew last night to Tanzania and it dawned to Nkomo that indeed he was dealing with a crook. Few hours later BBC news reported that Mugabe was with Julius Nyerere in Tanzania and he has declared that he will go it alone in elections, no pact with Nkomo and his Zapu. What a betrayal?" Moyo said.

He said Mthwakazi is still under siege up to this day because of Robert Mugabe and he couldn't say thank you to Joshua Nkomo ngesintu" sithi uRobert wabonga uNkomo ngesikhwehlela."

"Mugabe has no traceble history of liberation struggle," charged Moyo, "and its high time our people know our problems are shonas and we cannot be apologetic on that, we say no to Shona led parties in Mthwakazi, as we do not have Ndebele led parties in Mashonaland, we say no to the so- called coalitions to Remove Mugabe and ZANU PF, Shonas created their monster and we cannot be part of the solution to remove him whereas in the beginning they claimed they were the majority including Joyce Mujuru, Morgan Tsvangirai and all so called shona leaders".

"The time to liberate mthwakazi is now, we cannot continue to be shona ladders not our generation. History has taught us that Shonas are like Chameleons they change colours without notice, they indicate right when turning left, their betrayal traits flows within their blood. Abazikhiphele bodwa uMugabe wabo sasingekho thina," fumed Moyo.
