A headmaster at Maboleni Secondary School was on Tuesday arraigned before the courts facing allegations of fondling the private parts of a female employee at the school.
Dudusa Ernest Sibindi allegedly indecently assaulted the complainant (37) after instructing her to do some typing in his office in October last year.
Gweru magistrate Tendai Madanhire heard that on October 7 last year at around 10am, Sibindi tasked the complainant to type some papers in his office.
While the complainant was typing, Sibindi allegedly stood behind her chair, giving her instructions on what to type. He allegedly started fondling her private parts without saying anything. On November 15 last year, Sibindi allegedly entered the bursar's office where the complainant was typing end-of-year examination questions.
He allegedly touched her shoulder and she tried to resist his moves by pushing his hand away.
But Sibindi allegedly persisted and went on to fondle her. The complainant told her father about the alleged sexual harassment and a report was made to the police.
Sibindi denied the charges, arguing that she was trying to cover up for her incompetence by framing him. The trial continues on May 8. Chipo Matshe prosecuted.
