A suspected prostitute in Hwange who made a false police report that she was robbed by her client has been sentenced to do community service.

Ngwenya had made a report to the effect that her suspected client, Tongogara Sibanda, held her at knife point and forcibly took her face powder, $50 and a cellphone.
However, it emerged in court that Ngwenya had lied about being robbed and Sibanda had paid to sleep with her.
"I wanted to fix him because he had taken my phone as a way of getting back at I wanted to fix him because he had taken my phone as a way of getting back at me for running away after he paid me to have sex with him", she said.
Sibanda denied allegations of having stolen the face powder saying it was of no use to him.
"I have no reason for stealing her face powder because it is of no use to me," he said.
Police searched Sibanda's house and managed to recover the phone which resulted in Ngwenya withdrawing her charges against Sibanda.
