Car stripper caught red handed

A man from Lwendulo area in Hwange was caught red handed by the car owner while trying to strip it of some parts.
This was heard by Hwange magistrate Portia Mhlanga when Mefias Chuma appeared before her charged with attempted theft.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and was further remanded for sentence.
THe prosecutor Tompei Mbiza told the court that Chuma on September 22 went tio Zitshozenkosi Ncube's home in the neighbourhood at 10pm armed with a spanner.
He opened the bonnet of the car to start striping some of its parts but Ncube heard some movements outside and superstitiously went to the car only to find Chuma busy trying to remove some car parts.
He apprehended him and called his neighbour Foster Ncube to assist take him to the police station.
