Voting has resumed in the Goddess of the Year nominations. Please read below, view presentations, then cast your vote.
Dear Readers, Fans and Supporters,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful and enjoyable holiday and have kicked off the New Year in good spirits.
This is a quick note to inform you that the polls are now open for voting in the final leg of the Goddess of the Year selections. This final round of voting will determine who the Goddess of the Year 2012 will be.
I am so proud and honored to present to you the final three who have made it this far. Once upon a time, there were fourteen, then ten, then five; now there are only three. The final five nominees were given a chance to put together online presentations, for readers and fans, talking about their organizations and why they are involved in the work they're involved in. The presentations were to be personal. Only three out of the five responded. And that's how we came to have the final three.
The presentations are presented to you as follows:
Betty Makoni of the Girl Child Network in Zimbabwe presented an audio slideshow talking about her childhood and what led her to establish her organization. You can view her presentation >>>> here
Floriane Robins Brown of the Nibakure Children's Village in Rwanda presented a visual presentation speaking of her own childhood and what led her to establish her organization. You can view her presentation >>>> here
Rita Apaloo of African Women Connect in Minnesota had some technical issues getting her presentation to me via email and has offered to send it in the mail. As soon as I have it, it will be shared with you.
After you have viewed the presentations and been so touched by their messages, you can follow the link to vote >>>> here
I want to personally congratulate our final three. They are women deserving of admiration, and I wish each of them the very best of luck in this final round of voting.
Thanks,
