Led by Sean Williams' combative fifty, Zimbabwe posted a competitive 175 for three against Pakistan in the second T20 International in Lahore. The first T20I was won by Pakistan by five wickets, in a game that saw the return of international cricket in Pakistan. The dust had settled and today's game was more about cricket that any other festivities. Live Scorecard: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe, 2nd T20I.

For the second consecutive time, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan made an important change to their line-up with Mohammad Hafeez making way for Immad Wasim. Also, they brought in Nauman Anwar into the attack. Zimbabwe brought in the experienced Prosper Utseya in the line-up. Live Scorecard: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe, 2nd T20I

It was Hamilton Masakadza again who helped Zimbabwe get off to a great start. In the third over, bowled by Bilawal Bhatti, he smashed three boundaries. In the following over, he hit one down the ground for a maximum. Zimbabwe were off and running very well. However, they slowed down a touch thereafter and Shoaib Malik got the first breakthrugh when Masakadza holed out to long0-on.

Vusi Sibanda's innings was one that held Zimbabwe together, but he was struggling to get going. Sean Williams was promoted to bat at No. 3 and he was the one who essayed the aggressive strokes. Williams would play across the line, sweep the spinners, try reverse-sweeps. It was quite a combative knock to keep Zimbabwe going. In the slog overs, Zimbabwe were struggling to shift gears. Sibanda was ultimately out off 49 off 46 balls when he holed out to mid-wicket.

Soon after Sibanda's fall, Williams swept Shahid Afridi over mid-wicket for a six. With that shot, he got to his fifty off 26 balls. Elton Chigumbura joined Williams and announced his arrival with three consecutive sixes off Mohammad Sami in the 18th over. Afridi bowled a good penultimate over to pull things back a touch. Zimbabwe managed 175, which is a decent score but they could have scored more.

Brief scores:

Zimbabwe 175 for 3 in 20 overs (Vusi Sibanda 49, Sean Williams 57*; Mohammad Sami 1 for 37, Shoaib Malik 1 for 23 ) vs Pakistan.
