Chakomoka said they began their tour two weeks ago in Bulawayo and now they are set to visit different parts of Matabeleland region.
"As an up-and-coming traditional group, a lot of people have been asking for some shows.
"So in responding to their requests we have just started touring different parts of the country," he said.
Chakomoka said their main intention was to popularise their old dance called the Baby Paradise.
"For us to be known as Imvimbi it was because of the Baby Paradise dance so we are trying to bring it back at all our shows," he said.
Chakomoka said the tour will end up in Harare.
"We are going to perform in places like Tsholotsho, Binga Nkayi and Plumtree.
"We are going this far because we want our fans to know that Imvimbi is still live and kicking," he said.
Chakomoka said other dances they were going to exhibit on the tour included mutshongoyo, amabhiza, gumboot and classic dances.
"The shows are meant to give fans a variety as we have got a lot of dances that we have.
"In all these dances that we are going to be exhibiting we will be playing drums only," he said.
Chakomoka said Imvimbi went thughout a lot of changes since its formation. He said forexample in 2004 it lost some of its members who left for South Africa in search of greener pastures.
"We have been through a lot as a group and I am proud to say that we have managed to pick up ourselves to be where we are today," he said.
Chakomoka said the group was looking forward to consolidating its achievements after winning the provincial dance competitions.
