Dr Rebecca Malope to perform in Birmingham

THE Queen of African gospel music Dr Rebecca Malope, better known as Sis Ribs, will be performing in Britain's Birmingham city this Saturday, organisers have said.
The spokesman for Rainbow Entertainment Stephen Mpofu said the high powered gospel concert will witness another South African songbird, Sharon Dee, coming in as a guest singer.
Sharon Dee, who was once married to Zimbabwean former Coventry City and Mamelodi Sundowns star Peter Ndlovu switched from pop to gospel in the last few years and things appear to be going smoothly for her.
Undoubtedly, Sharon Dee whose real name is Hlengiwe Dlamini will also be a centre of delight.
Supporting acts will include Busi Muhlanga, Dexter Mpofu, Tim Ngwenya, Phephile Zwane. The master of Ceremonies will include Former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation Dj Kevin Ncube now with Radio Leicester and Sello Maake, one of South Africa's most esteemed actors and voice actor.
Dr Malope who has remained secretive about her love life until recently, describes herself as a person who enjoys her privacy has confirmed that she will be showcasing her nimble footedness in Birmingham City.
She has been in the musical industry for three decades now, releasing 36 chart-breaking albums‚ winning copious awards‚ selling millions of copies‚ and gaining legions of fans in South Africa and across the world.
The powerful voiced singer has certainly scaled the highest levels of success as one of the biggest selling musicians in Africa.
Her British safari is part of her celebration of 30 years in the music industry. After Birmingham, Malope will be heading to Ireland‚ where she'll be performing for the very first time.
Speaking to TMG Entertainment‚ the gospel singer expressed how grateful she is for how has career has grown in leaps and bounds from when she began singing.
"It has been one of the greatest experiences ever. I started out when I was very young‚ and since then I've had the opportunity to grow‚ to visit places that I never thought I would and meet important people from all around the world‚" she revealed.
The Rainbow Entertainment's spokesman Stephen K Mpofu said the Saturday's show will be the "Mother of all gospel shows" which cannot be missed.
