Seh Calaz entertains inmates at Harare Central Prison on christmas Day
HIGH-FLYING Zimdancehall champion, Tawanda "Seh Calaz" Mumanyi has opened up on his close association with convicts and ex-convicts-commonly referred to as "Mabhanditi" in social circles- whom he is known for extolling in most of his songs.

The "Mabhanditi" hit-maker on Christmas day visited Harare Central Prison accompanied by a 22-member delegation just to donate groceries for the festive season and provide free entertainment to felons.

"I love you with all my heart," he said whilst addressing inmates at the populous prison which is sometimes referred to as "PaWachi".

"Wherever I go, I am always carrying your flag. I will continue to support you."

He also spoke strongly against habitual criminal tendencies.

"I, however, do not support those of you who are in the habit of being in and out of prison. If you get released then make sure you do not continue to make your way back to this place," he added.

The Mbare-based accomplished "Diss Master" also said he retains a soft spot for convicts and ex-convicts because they are amongst his most ardent and religious followers.

He made it clear that his association with the Mabhanditi brand should not be misconstrued as his endorsement of criminal endeavours.

He also spent a few minutes with a jailed colleague from Mbare only identified as "Boss" by fellow inmates to whom he donated $100 for better meals and other necessities during the remainder of his stay which is almost drawing to a conclusion.

Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) public relations officer, Assistant Commissioner Elizabeth Banda-Karinda, also echoed Seh Calaz's sentiments and also reminded him and his delegation to avoid any adventures that might one day find them behind bars.

"It is such a wonderful thing that you have done for us today. Be blessed in your work but I also advise you never to come here as inmates. Prison conditions are very tough as you have just witnessed," she said.
