Professor Jonathan Moyo received one of the loudest applause when he turned up for the ANC's policy conference at Gallagher Estate in Midrand on Tuesday June 26 2012.
Just after 12:14pm in the after noon when Baleka Mbethe was welcoming guest from other political parties, Moyo received the loudest applause as ANC delagets took turns standing up and bowing to a packed audience, which included politicians from different parties in the world which included Chinese politicians.
All this happened after Jacob Zuma's hearty rendition of Mshini Wam.
The ANC is expected to discuss 12 policy documents over four days, ahead of its national elective conference in Mangaung in December.
It will also review its policies, the progress it has made in reaching its strategic objectives, and the state of the organisation.
Moyo's attendence comes a few weeks after the former liberation movements from Sadc including the African National Congress of South Africa said they will from now on help each other campaign when they are faced with elections in their countries.
This was resolved at the movements' three-day meeting in Harare recently.
Zanu-PF politburo member Jonathan Moyo, has been a fiery critic of Zuma's mediation efforts and particularly of Lindiwe Zulu, whom he has attacked in lengthy articles in the state media.
In one of his recent scathing articles, Moyo, labelled Zuma's facilitation team as "discredited, hopeless, nauseating and led by cantankerous and clueless leaders in the mould of Lindiwe Zulu."
He once described Zuma's team as a group of "regime change puppets."
