The front part of the Nando's building in Bulawayo collapsed on Saturday afternoon (today), seriously injuring four people.
The building was renovated late last year. There are no heavy rains today.
Bulawayo journalist Lucky Tshuma said, on Facebook, the buildings being used by the food chain are no longer safe. He said that the ceiling in their branch opposite Tredgold curved in, injuring people.
"I watched with interest them renovating the New Haefelis, the walls are of old clay bricks so enter at your own risk. So sorry to the injured people."
Another journalist Mduduzi Mathuthu said, on Twitter, "Blaming cyclone won't wash. Hope these people will be properly compensated"
