Transport operators forced to avail kombi's for Mugabe bash

Transport operators under Tshova Mubaiwa association in Bulawayo are reportedly set to transport thousands of President Robert Mugabe's close friends to his 93rd birthday bash on Saturday.
The 21st February Movement celebration gig is set for Rhodes Estate Preparatory School (Reps) in Matobo District, which is about 30km outside Bulawayo.
Bulawayo24.com understands Tshova Mubaiwa commuter omnibuses were ordered to transport delegates from Bulawayo to venue.
However, its not clear who will foot the bill for the services and whether they were forced into the 'deal'.
The city has two registered transport operators- Bulawayo Public Transport Association (Bupta) and Tshova Mubaiwa
Several drivers spoken to said they have no choice but to comply.
"Our bosses told us to be avail vehicles and be prepared to transport people to Resps early Saturday morning.
"We are required to clean the vehicles as we would be transporting very important people" said one driver who identified himself as Gumede.
Another driver said they have no option but to comply as they fear losing their operating permits
