Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa ally and former Zanu-PF Mashonaland Central youth chairperson Godfrey Tsenengamu was today finally granted $100 bail.
He was arrested late February following a Press conference at which he called on the 93 year old President Robert Mugabe to step down.
Tsenengamu also stands accused of contravening the Public Order and Security Act by holding a press conference without notifying the regulating authority.
In the aftermath of First Lady Grace Mugabe's rant at a rally in Buhera , Tsenengamu called on Mugabe to step down and allow for Mnangagwa to take over.
He urged the Zanu PF leader to "stop your wife before we stop her".
Mnangagwa is locked in a bitter struggle for power with Grace to take over from Mugabe, as the 93-year-old leader's political career faces its sunset.
According to reports, High Court judge Justice Priscilla Chigumba today Wednesday ordered Tsenengamu to surrender his travel documents at the clerk of court's office.
He was instructed to report at Waterfalls police station every Friday until finalisation of the criminal case and was barred from interfering with witnesses and investigations.
He is due back in court on March 9.
