Prominent human rights lawyer to represent MDC in Nkulumane

Bulawayo-based human rights lawyer, Matshobana Ncube of Phulu and Ncube will represent the Weshman Ncube led MDC in the Nkulumane constituency. He joins his partner Kucaca Phulu who will be contesting under the MDC-T ticket.
Ncube won the primaries that were held over the weekend, he managed to beat Ngwalo Nyathi and a candidate only referred to as Dube.
Ncube thanked the Nkulumane people for reposing faith in him, he wrote on on his facebook profile: "Folks, I would like to thank the people of Nkulumane for reposing their faith in me in representing them in Parliamentary elections in today's primaries.
"I would like to invite all of you to walk with me as we walk this long and arduous journey in making sure that the green party, MDC led by Prof Welshman Ncube takes leadership in Nkulumane and ensure effective and people oriented leadership in Parliament so that all your voices is not only heard but iven effect to. Let's make sure that in the upcoming harmonized elections we ensure a victory for people power.
"I also thank the dedicated team of cadres for delivering this victory. I also congratulate my competitors for running this race with me and I invite you to come together with me as we move the green agenda forward so that people can take care of their affairs through devolution of power. I know that because you are members of the green family we shall chart the way forward together."
The Phulu Ncube website says Matshobana has been in legal practice spanning from 2002 to the present.
He has worked for various law firms and finally became a Programmes Lawyer at Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human rights.
Mr. Ncube has experience in wide ranging areas such as labour law, conveyancing and litigation.
