THE South African man who last week claimed he was being targeted by Zimbabwe-based satanists for refusing to supply them with human body parts has returned to his home country.

Donald Eunice, 35, claimed he was recruited by a Bulawayo satanic cult that allegedly caused him to temporarily go insane after he refused to supply it with children's private parts.

Pastor Ayanda Mabhena of the Twelve Apostles of Christ Church in Pumula East who prayed for Eunice resulting in him regaining his memory, confirmed to Chronicle that he had left for South Africa.

"The church organised transport for him and he crossed the border on Monday evening. We gave him R550 for transport to Orange Free State. We are awaiting confirmation of his arrival at home," he said.

The driver who took Eunice to the Beitbridge Border Post, Vusa Ndlovu, confirmed Eunice had crossed into South Africa.

"Immigration on the South African side was able to prove he was from Orange Free State. They allowed him through at about 6PM, although he had lost his travel documents," he said.

His wife Meipone could not be reached to confirm if he had arrived.

Eunice alleged the Satanists from a city church promised him a Toyota Hilux and riches beyond his wildest dreams if he supplied them with body parts.

When he refused to work with them, they allegedly told him he would go mad and his two daughters aged 13 and nine would die before the end of the year.

He temporarily went insane and lived as a vagrant at Basch Street Terminus, popularly known as Egodini, between March 5 and April 16.

He said he would sometimes regain his senses.

Eunice eventually met Pastor Mabhena who prayed for him and he regained his senses.

He contacted his wife and narrated his story to residents and church members.

His wife, who thought he was dead because he had left home without telling anyone, told Chronicle she was surprised to learn that he was still alive.
