BULAWAYO - TRICKSTERS, popularly known as ofejafeja operating at Egodini long distance terminus were allegedly left licking wounds after a suspected soldier whom they had tricked returned two days later in company of his two friends and rioted the gangsters.

The tricksters are said to have tricked the soldier into their games on Monday last week and took away an undisclosed sum of money. However, when the irate soldier left he threatened revenge but the tricksters took the warning for granted.

The following day, it is alleged, the soldier returned in the company of his two other friends and approached the fejafeja crew leader in a bid to get back the money but their efforts drew a blank.

On Wednesday they reportedly returned again clad in civilian attire and beat up the seven member crew in a few minutes and left them seriously injured.

The public also got an opportunity to revenge for being tricked at one time or another to mete justice on the crew which was lying in pain.

Police intervened later when the suspected soldiers had disappeared with a car. The tricksters were taken to hospital for treatment.
