MDC Youths Speak on Reunification

The MDC Youth Assembly Bulawayo Province would like to congratulate the MDC for successfully leading a reunification drive. The reunification exercise has seen the regrouping of like minded comrades, all for the greater good of the people of Zimbabwe.
This is what the MDC Youth Assembly has always wanted, resolution seven of the Bulawayo Second Young People's Convention that took place on the 14th of June 2014, clearly stated the need to recapture the impetus of the 1999 All Working People's Convention.
Barely six months later, the mother board has fulfilled the resolution of the Young People's convention.
This is proof that the MDC is a party that is not driven on individualistic priorities but on the priorities of its membership.
The Assembly was further vindicated when the co-secretary generals unveiled their negotiation teams.
The teams were composed of youthful comrades as per the resolution of the convention, that young people in the MDC should now take leading roles in party processes.
The Assembly strongly believes that the young people are the biggest beneficiary of this agreement.
However, over and above the excitement, this is a call for the entire party to work in defragmented unison as the country awaits the mother of all defining moments, the Congress scheduled for mid-2015.
As per the resolutions of the young people's convention we trust and believe, the congress will create space for young people to also occupy positions of influence, power and authority in the MDC motherboard.
Surely, this congress should be the first and the last congress we hold as a united opposition political party.
