Benjani Mwaruwari jets in for father's burial

GRIEVING former Warriors captain Benjani Mwaruwari jetted into the country from the United Kingdom on Wednesday ahead of his late father's burial tomorrow.
Amon, Benjie's father passed on at United Bulawayo Hospitals on Saturday after succumbing to a heart ailment.
He was 70.
Benjie had taken his father for specialist treatment in South Africa and the United Kingdom but all that was in vain.
According to the burial programme, there will be a church service at the Nazareth Hillside Church tomorrow before burial at West park cemetery at 10PM.
Several local and foreign sports personalities are expected to attend the burial as they grieve together with the former Portsmouth and Manchester City star forward.
Born in Karonga village in Malawi on May 4, 1945, Amon came to Zimbabwe in the early 1960s and settled in the Headlands area before coming to Bulawayo in 1975. He worked for Datlabs until retirement in 1986.
Speaking to Chronicle Sport from their residence in Bulawayo leafy suburb of Hillside on Sunday, the late Amon's widow, Sithabile, described her husband as a God-fearing man who was full of love for his family.
Amon is survived by wife, Sithabile and five children.
