Zanu-PF Makokoba by-election candidate retired colonel Tshinga Dube today said President Robert Mugabe messed up on his condemned Kalanga slur.

Addressing a campaign rally at Macdonald Hall in Makokoba, Tshinga apologised for Mugabe's misfiring.

"I know Kalanga people are angry over what the president said. I apologise for that, he should have not said it," said Tshinga.

President Robert Mugabe broke into controversy last month as a tribalist when he claimed the Kalanga people are "uneducated" and "criminals" who according to him are responsible for  pitty crimes in South Africa.

However, Zanu PF youths where disappointed that there where given cool drinks and two plain buns.

Tshinga's rallies are usually characterised buy abundant free following beer.
