THE woman who was allegedly chopped into pieces by her husband was on Tuesday buried at Bulawayo's West Cark Cemetery.
The woman's burial had been hanging in the balance due to misunderstandings between her relatives and that of husband's.
The man's family is alleged to have announced that it was afraid to meet the woman's relatives.
However, the uncle to the woman Mr Absalom Sibanda on Tuesday said the two families finally met and resolved their differences over the matter.
"We engaged the husband's family and talked over the issue. We thought it was important to bury our daughter first and look into other issues later," said Mr Sibanda in an interview at the family house in Mabuthweni.
"She was buried in the afternoon at the West Park Cemetery. Of course the husband's family was afraid to meet us but we have talked to them and certain agreements were made that they have to fulfill. We now understand each other."
Mr Sibanda however, could not be drawn to disclose the details of what the families agreed on.
The man, Givemore Nyazvigo (30), of Number 82 Cecil Avenue allegedly killed his wife, Ms Lydia Sibanda (25), following an argument over a telephone call.
He allegedly kept the body at their home for two days, before cutting it pieces, which he dumped around the city.
Nyazvigo was taken to court last week but his case failed to take place after he started hallucinating.
He was not formally charged with murder as defined in Section 47 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, Chapter 9:23. The court remanded him in custody to 20 September.
Bulawayo magistrate Mr Tawanda Muchemwa ordered two Government doctors to determine Nyazvigo's mental stability.
On his initial appearance in court last week, Nyazvigo told court officials that his late wife Lydia Sibanda (25) was now allegedly haunting him.
He claimed that she appears and he sees the wound he inflicted in her forehead with fire coming from her eyes and some people chasing her.
