Harare residents protest against national pledge

Harare residents on Wednesday protested against the national pledge in the streets of Harare.
This was revealed by the Zimbabwe lawyers for Human Rights communications officer Kumbirai Mafunda. through a facebook post.
"Zimbabweans on Wednesday 18 May 2016 took to the streets of Harare protesting against the targeted harassment of Christians by the government through the arbitrary introduction and recital of the National Pledge," he said. "Led by Prayer Network Zimbabwe (PNZ), an interdenominational Christian organisation, the protesters prayed and delivered solidarity messages before handing over a petition at the offices of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, which is spearheading the introduction of the National Pledge."
