Robber in court over paltry $53 robbery

A juvenile from Nguboyenja in Bulawayo who pounced on a resident of the same suburb robbing her of her mobile phones all worth $53 has found himself behind bars.
The juvenile (16) who cannot be named for ethical reasons was not asked to plead to robbery when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Evelyn Mashavakure on Tuesday. The magistrate remanded him in custody to October 4.
The court was told that on July 26 this year the complainant ant Gugulethu Mhlanga was from Happy Valley bar at around 9pm when she was approached by the juvenile who kicked her with booted feet before tripping her to the ground and robbed her of her mobile phones.
A report made to the police led to his arrest.
