Man kills relative over kachasu

A 24-year-old man from Chikukwa Village in Chiweshe is applying for bail at the High Court after he allegedly killed one of his relatives during an argument over an illicit brew.
Ishmael Mbengeni is facing murder charges after allegedly killing Collen Kandido following a misunderstanding over kachasu on June 1 this year.
The state alleged that Mbengeni violently pushed Kandido to the ground and he sustained head injuries.
It is alleged that Kandido complained of drowsiness after the fall and was escorted to his home by his two other relatives, Shame Mutemaringa and Eunice Chikwenya.
Kandido was allegedly found dead four days after the incident when Mbengeni visited his house to check on him.
