Japajapa awaits trial date

Political activist, Paddington Japajapa, was yesterday further remanded to September 18 as he awaits to be furnished with his trial date.
Japajapa is being charged with inciting violence in Harare after the July 30 harmonised elections.
Allegations laid against Japajapa rose after a press conference he held moments after ZEC announced its first batch of results at its national command centre.
Japajapa is out on $50 bail.
The State, led by Ropafadzo Bosch, applied that the matter be remanded to September 18 when it will be ready to furnish the accused with his trial date.
Meanwhile, 26 other MDC-Alliance demonstrators who are on remand for participating in public violence were also back in court yesterday.
The group which was admitted to $50 bail, was also remanded to September 18.
They appeared before Harare magistrate Nyasha Vhitorini.
