Algerian media has reported that a 22 year old Zimbabwean student who was doing a degree in Electromechanics at the University of Annaba was stabbed by an unknown assailant and he bled to death.

Reports indicate that Prosper Ndudzo left the University residence at about 1900hrs to go and do some shopping. An individual stabbed him in the left thigh and took his cell phone before fleeing.

An eyewitness who narrated the tragic incident said him and Proper decided to go out and buy some vegetables and chicken because the restaurant at the university residence was closed.

They found that three people were sitting and on the way back, one of them stood up and headed towards the two students.

"He did as if he was passing then he turned to come back to me. He wanted to hang with me and I boxed him. When I turned around, I saw that the two guys had already taken Prosper. One wounded him in the chest and the other pierced him in the thigh, "he said.

The deceased , who had lost a lot of blood, was taken to El Hadjar hospital. He succumbed to his injuries just 24 hours after being assaulted.
