ZANU PF Member of Parliament for Gokwe-Nembudziya Justice Mayor Wadyajena says President Emmerson Mnangagwa is troubled that the majority problems in the country emanate from corruption and cronyism.
Wadyajena was responding to shadowy Twitter character Mmatigari who had said, "Perhaps one day you will figure out that you can't remove cartels if you have sanctions. You don't have to go far, learn from history. People like Bredenkamp made tons of money from sanctions busting. Sanctions strengthen cartels."
Responded Wadyajena, "I hear you! Sanctions are real and must be removed, they only punish those with the lowest incomes and the most vulnerable. That said, we can't condone cronyism and corruption just because we have sanctions. Even His Excellency himself is troubled by the rampant levels of corruption. We have to fight it!"
Wadyajena recently said crony capitalism has created cartels who are engaging in corruption.
"Let's decisively deal with cartels sabotaging the country. These dirty elements are closer than we think & harvest millions from our suffering. We blame sanctions but corruption & cronyism are massive challenges too."
President Mnangagwa's government adopted a zero tolerance to corruption so as to court investors under its Zimbabwe is open for business mantra.
