High Court liquidated the Zimbabwe Tobacco Auction Centre

The High Court of Zimbabwe has liquidated the Zimbabwe Tobacco Auction Centre (ZITAC) which has been engaged in a legal battle with Boka Investment over a lease agreement..

The High Court passed the judgment last Friday.          
 
Mr. Oliver Masomera of Obram Trust Company Private Limited has since been appointed by the court as the Provisional Liquidator to handle the affairs of ZITAC.

Mr Masomera told ZBC News that all creditors of Onclass Investment and Thirdline Trading Private Limited Trading as ZITAC should urgently collect and complete proof of claim forms at the liquidator's offices, adding that the plight of workers will be considered under the liquidation process.

Meanwhile preparations for Boka Auction floors to begin buying tobacco are on course, with the contractors putting final touches on the refurbishment of the centre to meet the standards set by the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board.
