ZANU PF Mashonaland Central leadership has failed to give the late Central Committee member Jonathan Nhamburo a decent burial.
Nhamburo who died on Tuesday at Parirenyatwa hospital was declared a provincial hero and was laid to rest in Chiweshe today.
A tattered tent was pitched at Nhamburo's place of residence with Deputy speaker of Parliament Tsitsi Gezi, Home Affairs Minister Kazembe Kazembe, Chief Negomo and Politburo member Tendai Chirau occupying the front row.
Despite Nhamburo being Minister Kazembe's top ally in the province the burial setup was not befitting of the hero status.
The late Nhamburo was despised by members of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) who accused him of terrorizing people in Chiweshe over political affiliation.
The hatred was so intense that a few days before his death CCC members falsely accused Nhamburo of running over their member on by-election day.
