Robbers gang-rape storekeeper

Two Mutoko robbers who broke into a tuckshop, stole groceries and gang-raped the storekeeper were arrested.
Omega Sikochi (25)and Tinashe Chikeya (24) appeared before Mutoko magistrate Elijah Sibanda yesterday.
The state alleges on March 12 the two pounced at a tuckshop in Nyadire village Mutoko armed with knives and stole groceries.
After looting they broke into a room where a female storekeeper was sleeping,threatened her with knives and took turns to rape her.
They took their loot to a nearby maize field and fled.
Fortunately the police managed to recover the loot hours later.
The pair was arrested on Monday.
Nathan Mujuru prosecuted.
They will be back in court on May 10.
