Following a wave of online controversy, Apostle Dickson Nhumwa has publicly apologised to Evangelist Trymore Muparinga over allegations shared in a viral video.

The dispute began when Apostle Nhumwa posted a video accusing Muparinga of misusing church offerings to seduce women and purchase alcohol. He has now admitted that the claims were unfounded.

In a 22-second video, Nhumwa expressed remorse:

"My brother, Evangelist Muparinga, I want to apologise to you for overreacting to an issue I have heard. It was so personal. I love you, my brother."

This marked a retraction to an earlier 1-minute-and-32-second video that had generated significant online speculation.

Evangelist Muparinga, who had filed a police report against Nhumwa for cyberbullying, welcomed the apology, stating that "God wants peace." He added that senior church leaders had intervened, which may have prompted Nhumwa's apology.

This is not Nhumwa's first brush with controversy. He previously led a branch of Masvingo Heartfelt International Ministries but faced backlash as members distanced themselves due to his contentious leadership style.
