The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has announced the exchange rates to be used for the 2026 November Ordinary and Advanced Level examination fees.
In a notice issued on Friday, March 20, ZIMSEC said the applicable rates will be US$1 to ZiG26.53 and US$1 to ZAR16.89. The council also reminded parents and guardians that all examination fees must be paid through schools or designated examination centres, and not directly to the council.
The announcement comes as registration for the November 2026 examination session approaches its deadline, with candidates required to complete the process by March 27, 2026.
Meanwhile, Taungana Ndoro, director of communications and advocacy in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, urged heads of examination centres to ensure timely and accurate registration of candidates.
Ndoro emphasised that all centres must use the online registration system and that heads of centres will be held fully accountable for the correct submission of candidate information.
The council's announcement is expected to guide schools and parents in preparing for the upcoming examination cycle while reinforcing compliance with registration procedures.
