Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa has officially commissioned a new United Family International Church (UFIC) basilica in Gweru, marking a major milestone in the ministry's expansion strategy.

The Woodlands/Mkoba branch, inaugurated on Saturday, drew thousands of congregants for the landmark event, highlighting UFIC's growing footprint beyond its Chitungwiza headquarters.

The new facility is more than just a place of worship; it embodies the church's vision for structural consistency and spiritual impact. Its architectural design mirrors the Chitungwiza basilica, following a "mini-basilica" concept intended to create a uniform worship experience across all UFIC branches.

Boasting high-arched ceilings, large seating capacity, and advanced sound, lighting, and digital broadcasting systems, the Gweru branch ensures congregants enjoy the same "Atmosphere of Solutions" associated with the church's headquarters.

Speaking at the commissioning, Makandiwa said the building represented both spiritual and community growth. "This building is a testimony of what happens when vision meets dedication," she said. "It is a gift to the City of Gweru and a place where lives will be permanently transformed."

The move signals UFIC's commitment to standardised infrastructure, enabling the ministry to maintain a consistent worship environment while supporting its broader mission of community empowerment and spiritual development across Zimbabwe.
