Men have role in fighting Gender-based Violence

Advocacy groups says that as the nation launches this year's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence, one key demand should be the involvement of men in the fight against women and the girl child abuse.
SAFAIDS says without men's involvement in the fight against GBV, the initiative will remain incomplete.
Padare Men's Forum says calling for men to take the gender-based violence fight is through the realisation that the struggle against the malpractice needs the team effort of both men and women.
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence is an international campaign that starts on the 25th of November.
The campaign hopes to raise awareness about gender-based violence as a human rights issue at the local, national, regional and international level.
Women remain a casualty of abuse which manifests through, sexual, physical and psychological torture and many other forms with the Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development releasing shocking statics showing that GBV is increasing every year.
