Conferring the ranks to the colonels, Chief of Staff Administration Major General Trust Mugoba said the promotions were a result of hard work and dedication to duty.

"The promotion came after the assessment of your work," said Major General Mugoba.

Colonel Tendai Makavi who was the only female candidate to be promoted said she is greatly honoured to represent her female counterparts in a male dominated class and urged other women to be courageous enough to face any given task.

"I always do the best I can to attain positive results," said Colonel Mashava.
