HARARE - Rush for early passengers, ungovernable speed limits and quest to surpass daily targets has this Monday witnessed a none-casualty or fatality accident involving another Inter-Africa bus which side swipes Makwenda Express at Warren Park inter-section on their way to Bulawayo, barely few days after its Harare-Guruve coach plunged into a terminus rank.

Though no casualties or fatality recorded, both drivers and crews involved in altercations after Makwenda Express lost its right side view mirror whilst an old Inter-Africa's AGB 3860 inscribed 'MUDHARA ACHAUYA, ACTION BLAZO' lost window between third and fourth left passengers seat rows after view mirror-window smash accident.

Advance Chihumbiru, an eyewitness and passenger with Inter-Africa has claimed that the accident was long overdue since the battle started at Mbare main bus terminal rank from their departures, Harare Showgrounds and ultimately at Warren Park just after robots intersection.

"The fight and rush for passengers started early in the morning from the coaches departure at Mbare upto Harare Showgrounds. Both the buses left main rank speeding with few passengers on board, but with sizeable pick-ups," Chihumbiru said.

"At the Harare Showgrounds, they blocked each other and were nearly involved in fists fighting. Between Showgrounds and National Sports Stadium, there were now two coaches belonging to Inter-Africa technically positioned ahead and behind Makwenda driving along Harare-Bulawayo highway, and the three coaches now left the Warren Park robots concurrently before they all stopped after the robots to pick up passengers," Chihumbiru added.

"The Inter-Africa stopped ahead of Makwenda Express and another one which was driving behind technically shields and blocked Makwenda from picking any passenger," Chihumbiru said.

"Makwenda Express tried to overtake and left from a stationed Inter-Africa coach ahead before it side swipes with another coach from the same company (Inter-Africa) which was slowly blocking its right sideway, and it lost view mirror with some dents and smash Inter-Africa's window," he added.

"The drivers and crews from all the coaches had altercations before those from Makwenda threatened to file a police report at Warren Park station after all Inter-Africa coaches left the accident scene driving to Bulawayo before engagement and agreement on way forward," Chihumbiru said.
