About 10 orphans in Mengzi district who were take care of by sacked former Masvingo  Minister of State Kudakawashe Bhasikiti face a bleak future as Zanu PF hardliners want to grab the Rutenga house they  are living in.

Daily News  on Monday reported that Bhasikithi was fired after being accused by President Robert Mugabe of being a  Joice Mujuru supporter.

After his sacking, Zanu PF supporters have been plotting to grab many of his properties and projects.

Bhasikitis's wife Patience, told Daily News that among his husband's enemies- Cuthbert Muzaza and Zanu PF Central Committee member Tafadzwa Shumba had given the children agreed between 3 and 15 years notice to vacate the property.

"They came at the gate and told me that the children have to find somewhere else to go as someone was coming to occupy the house," Patience is quoted saying.

However, Shumba said Bhasikiti grabbed the property.

"What I know is that he grabbed the place and turned it into an orphanage but people were saying if he really is serious about taking care of the orphans, he should have built his own place. Personally, though I don't have anything against the orphanage," said Shumba.
