Redcliff town council in stands selling spree

The Redcliff town Council in Kwekwe has embarked in a spree of selling housing and industrial stands thereby flighting a numbers of advertisements in the public media for prospective buyers to get to know about them.

The council advertised for the sale of residential Flats Stands, Industrial Stands and the low density stands.

The council showed that it has six stands of between 1678 and 2990 square metres costing between $26 848 and $47 840.

In a notice of sale the council indicated that the notice was given in terms of section 152 of the Urban Councils Act Chapter 29:15 that council intends to sell the Flat stands in the area of Torwood Township of Ripple Creek Estate at $16 per square metre inclusive the administrative fee and value added tax.

"Condition of sale are the stands shall be sold on first come first serve basis, the initial deposit of stands shall be 50% of the total stand price, the balance shall be paid in six months monthly in equal instalments," reads the notice. "Those interested in purchasing these stands should call at and or contact the office."

The council also advertised the industrial stands given under the same councils Act in the Torwood Township's industrial area.

"The stands range in size from 105 to 597 square metres and they cost $9, 66 per square metre.

"Condition of sale are that the stands be sold on first come first serve, the initial deposit of the stands shall be 40% of the total stand price," reads the notice. "Balance shall be paid in six months monthly equal instalments."

The local authority lastly advertised for the sale of low density residential stands in terms of the same sections of the Urban Councils Act.

"Notice is hereby given in terms of section 152 of the Urban Councils Act 29:15 that the municipality of Redcliff has on offer a limited number of low density residential stands measuring on average of 2000 square metres each and   a cost of $13,50 per square metre. The stands are located along the main highway into Redcliff central business and are 500 metres from Kwekwe-Redcliff turnoff," reads the notice.

He notice states that de[posit for the stands is 30% of the total land value of which 60% of this deposit shall be paid as commitment fee with the remaining 40% being paid over four equal monthly instalments. The remaining percentage shall be paid in 36 monthly instalments after having completed payment of the 30% deposit.
